SAN MATEO, Calif. – June 2, 2008 – Following a technology alliance forged in September 2007, Untangle announced today the availability of the Untangle Monitoring Sets for Kaseya that enable managed service providers (MSPs) to monitor the Untangle Gateway Platform through Kaseya’s IT automation framework. “We are dedicated to helping our customers transform their businesses by providing the tools they need to become a successful managed services practice,” said Dan Shapero, senior vice president of marketing for Kaseya, a global provider of information technology (IT) automation software for IT solution providers and public and private sector IT organizations.

The two companies first joined forces in September 2007, when Untangle became part of Kaseya’s Technology Alliance Program (TAP). The Kaseya TAP is designed to create a working relationship among vendors that fosters development, support, sales and marketing initiatives. The Untangle Monitoring Sets for Kaseya leverage SNMP to help MSPs keep on top of security incidents that Untangle blocks (including spam, spyware and intrusion attempts) and parameters indicating general system health of their Untangle servers such as CPU utilization, memory consumption and disk space usage.
