Over the past 40 years, the Catania Hospitality Group has grown from a single family restaurant to an award-winning collection of restaurants, hotels/resorts, and spas including: Hearth ‘n Kettles, Cape Codder Resort & Spa, and Grand Cru Wine Bar & Grill. When Competitor Pricing Becomes Offensive
Robert Topolski is the only IT resource for all of Catania Hospitality Group’s (CHG) properties. He is in charge of keeping all business information including credit card, employee information, sales, and reservations safe from threats. CHG was previously using SonicWALL, but the cost to continue using them was “downright offensive”, said Robert. Because of this, he decided to look for other solutions with similar functionality but at a much lower price point. He heard positive reviews about Untangle and decided to deploy their NG Firewall.
A Complete and Flexible Solution
Although price was the driver behind his initial decision, Robert was pleasantly surprised as he became more familiar with Untangle and quickly realized the product was more than just comparable to their previous solution. Robert found success using NG Firewall’s dual WAN features. NG Firewall applications also helped automate his day-to-day jobs and diagnose trouble areas on the network. Untangle’s support once again shined through with its availability in answering Robert’s questions. Robert also leveraged the Untangle community and online forums to figure out the best way to configure and set up several applications.
